ENCE dominate G2 in EPL S17 playoffs
G2 saw their tournament run come to an end.
The second day of the ESL Pro League Season 17 playoffs was filled with domination and anticipation as the top CS:GO teams battled it out for a chance to advance to the quarter-finals. A long day with four intense matches saw the tournament's favorite exit after they got demolished by ENCE.
The day began with two matches between some of the world's best. The first match featured G2 vs. ENCE, with ENCE coming out on top dominating the world's best in a clean 2-0 victory. ENCE´s newest edition to the team Guy 'NertZ' Iluz stood tall against the top players from G2 who couldn't keep up with the firepower from ENCE. Despite both matches ending with 26+ rounds, ENCE had the games under control all the way to the end.
The following match of the day saw Natus Vincere take on Outsiders, with NAVI emerging victorious after a dominant performance from all five players of NAVI. With the victory over Outsiders, NAVI extends their win streak to five.
The third match was between FaZe and FURIA, which saw FaZe come out on top as they dominated the Brazillian roster who in 2023 haven't found their best play against the top team in the world.
Finally, the last match of the day was between MOUZ and paiN, with MOUZ pulling off an important win despite paiN taking the first map of the series to give the battle a shock start. MOUZ fought back and pulled off the reverse sweep to win the series 2-1.
Don't worry, more counter-strike to come when the quarter-finals will kick off tomorrow with some banger matches. Watch the schedule down below:
