ENCE confirms roster changes following string of poor results
Krzysztof 'Goofy' Górski departs from ENCE as he announces a break from competitive play to focus on his well-being.
ENCE has officially parted ways with Krzysztof "Goofy" Górski in a mutual agreement, the Finnish organization announced on Thursday. The decision comes after a period of underperformance from the team, led by in-game leader Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander.
In a statement, ENCE pointed to the recent struggles of the roster as the catalyst for this move. The team has fallen short in multiple tournaments, prompting changes to address their declining form.
- Recent months have been very challenging for me, as I felt that my body is exhausted after a few years of playing without any breaks. I was thinking a lot about my decision, and I’ve also seen examples of the young players that finished their careers too early due to burnout they suffered.
- I love Counter Strike, and I believe there's been a lot of years of me competing, however to make it happen, I need to take care of myself and take a short break from competitive play. The decision was not easy, but I feel that this is a necessary step, Goofy wrote.
“Search for the next piece is already underway”
ENCE has already begun the search for Goofy’s replacement. In a press release, the organization stated that the team is undergoing a thorough evaluation led by head coach Niclas "enkay J" Krumhorn.
- The evaluation of our lineup and the search for the next piece is already underway. Head coach Niclas "enkay J" Krumhorn is currently analyzing and identifying our pain points to build a solid foundation for the future. We will share more updates regarding the roster once the pieces have been locked in place, ENCE wrote.
