EliGE hints at Complexity exit and EU move
Who could use the former Liquid superstar in their arsenal for 2025?
Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski may have played his last match for Complexity. As we head into the 2025 season, amidst a chaotic roster shuffle in top-tier Counter-Strike, Complexity’s star player appears to be eyeing a move across the Atlantic.
In a recent interview with HLTV, EliGE shared his thoughts about the upcoming season, hinting strongly at the possibility of joining a European team.
- I'm going to have to manage being in a new situation potentially, but that is part of the game and I feel like now is the time to do it. I have had a long career, but I have never played on an EU team with the best players in the world, so it is also something really exciting for me to be able to experience and learn from. There will be some discomfort being in a new environment, but also a lot of excitement from the potential there, EliGE said to HLTV.
“We’re not a prison”
It seems EliGE will not face major obstacles in leaving the NA squad, with the Complexity CEO Jason Lake recently stating that the organization wouldn’t stand in his way if that’s the path he chooses.
- We're certainly not a prison here. If Jon [EliGE] can find an organization that, right now, can battle for top three consistently we'll try our best to make it happen for him and take whatever buyout we can get for him, Lake stated in an interview earlier this month.
Where could he go?
“To be a champion, plain and simple.”
That’s EliGE’s goal in 2025, he voiced to HLTV. But how will he get there?
Looking at the current top teams in Counter-Strike, the veteran rifler seems to have plenty of options on paper with many organizations changing their rosters, meaning the timing is near-perfect.
