DreamHack Open confirm NA and SA events
The iconic TO has set their sight on the South American continent once again, as they will feature on the new Open calendar.
DreamHack has announced that the next DreamHack Open events will be featured in North America and South America, the tournament organizer confirms on Twitter. This will feature the comeback from the South American region, which didn't hold a DreamHack Open event for the entire 2020 season, where NA on the hand had several.
Both tournaments will run simultaneously from the 10-14th of March and will be played solely online. The NA tournament will have 8 teams competing for a total prize pool of $70.000, with additionally ESL Pro Tour points to fight for. The South American edition only features 4 teams and a smaller prize pool worth of $30.000.

- Total 8 teams split into 2 groups
- GSL BO3 group play, top 2 teams of each group make it to playoffs
- Playoffs played in BO3 Single Elimination, with a BO5 Grand Final
- Team spots divided into 6 ESL World Ranking invites - 2 ESEA SA qualifiers
DreamHack Open SA
- Dates: Mar 10 - Mar 14
- Prize money: $30,000
- Total 4 teams
- BO3 Double Elimination bracket
- BO5 Grand Final with a 1-0 advantage to the team coming from Upper Bracket
- Team spots divided into 2 ESL World Ranking invites - 2 ESEA SA qualifiers
