CS2 not working on Mac or Linux
Users of different operating systems than Windows have been left disappointed with the release of CS2.
The release of CS2 has been received with fairly positive reviews from the community. With several patches since the release a week ago, Valve is certainly trying to keep up with the feedback and demands from the many players, that have tried out the new game so far.
But one part of the community that is not happy at the moment is all the users who have been used to playing CS:GO from either Linux or Mac. While there are videos out there explaining how to fix the problem, the outcome is not very playable so far. It seems like the only option would be to wait for Valve to release official versions for the two platforms.
When will CS2 be released for Mac and Linux?
It is expected that Mac users will be able to play the game soon enough. At the release of CS:GO in 2012 the game was released on all platforms except Linux at the same time. Linux users had to wait over two years before the game was released for the platform.
Since Valve did not communicate anything about cutting either platform off from the new game, it is fair to expect that there will be versions of the game released for both platforms.
