CS:GO Ranks: A Guide to Matchmaking and FACEIT

Here’s everything you need to know about CS:GO Matchmaking and FACEIT.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, better known as CS:GO, is one of the most popular first-person shooter games in the world. Whether you’re a casual player or a competitive gamer, ranks play an important role in your CS:GO experience. In this article, we’ll explain the ranking system in both matchmaking and FACEIT, two of the most popular ways to play competitive CS:GO.

CS:GO Matchmaking Ranks

Matchmaking, or CS:GO MM for short, is the default game mode in CS:GO. When you first start playing, you’ll be given a rank based on your performance in 10 placement matches. The ranks range from Silver I (the lowest) to Global Elite (the highest). In between, there are 16 different ranks, each with its own name and emblem. As mentioned, you have to play 10 competitive MM matches, and your performance will determine you initial rank. Your rank is not solely based on your wins and losses. Factors like your in-game performance, MVP’s, and round wins play a vital role in determining your rank.

Your rank can go up or down based on your performance in subsequent matches. Winning matches against higher-ranked opponents will help you rank up faster, while losing against lower-ranked opponents will result in a drop in rank.

In addition to your rank, CS:GO MM also uses a hidden Trust Factor system to match players with others who are similar in skill level and behavior. This helps to reduce the number of cheaters and smurfs (high-ranked players who create new accounts to play against lower-ranked players).

Here is a breakdown of the CS:GO matchmaking ranks:

Silver I
Silver II
Silver III
Silver IV
Silver Elite
Silver Elite Master
Gold Nova I
Gold Nova II
Gold Nova III
Gold Nova Master
Master Guardian I
Master Guardian II
Master Guardian Elite
Distinguished Master Guardian
Legendary Eagle
Legendary Eagle Master
Supreme Master First Class
Global Elite

As you can see, the ranking system starts with Silver I and progresses all the way up to Global Elite, with each rank requiring a certain number of wins to advance.

FACEIT Ranks

If you’re an avid fan of competitive gaming, then you might have heard about FACEIT. FACEIT is an online platform that allows players to participate in organized competitive gaming tournaments, league, and matches. FACEIT offers players a ranking system to assess their skills and progress in the game. Unlike CS:GO MM, FACEIT requires players to create an account and link it to their CS:GO account.

In this section, we will delve deeper into the FACEIT ranking system, and how it works.

The FACEIT ranking system has 10 levels, ranging from Level 1 (the lowest) to Level 10 (the highest). Your FACEIT rank is based on an Elo points system, and you gain Elo by winning matches. The more Elo you have on FACEIT, the higher your rank will be. Losing matches will result in a loss of Elo,

The FACEIT Profile ranks are as follows:

Level 1 | 1 – 800 ELO
Level 2 | 801 – 950 ELO
Level 3 | 951 – 1100 ELO
Level 4 | 1101 – 1250 ELO
Level 5 | 1251 – 1400 ELO
Level 6 | 1401 – 1550 ELO
Level 7 | 1551 – 1700 ELO
Level 8 | 1701 – 1850 ELO
Level 9 | 1851 – 2000 ELO
Level 10 | 2001+

The higher your rank is, the more challenging it is to progress as you will meet better players.

One of the benefits of the FACEIT ranking system is that it allows players to track their progress and measure their improvement over time. By analyzing their performance and identifying areas for improvement, players can work to climb the ladder and reach higher ranks.

In addition to the ranking system, FACEIT also offers a variety of features and tools to help players improve their game. This includes a robust matchmaking system that pairs players of similar skill levels together, as well as access to regular tournaments and events that provide opportunities to compete against top players and win prizes.

So, if you’re looking to take your CS:GO gaming skills to the next level and compete against the best players in the world, look no further than FACEIT. With its extensive ranking system, matchmaking tools, and competitive events, it’s the perfect platform for gamers of all levels to improve their skills and achieve greatness in the game.
