BLAST’s Paris Major trophy receive heavy criticism from fans
The BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 has been generating buzz as fans express their criticism of the tournament’s trophy design on social media.
The BLAST.tv Paris Major has been making headlines recently, but not necessarily for the right reasons. As 56 teams gear up for the RMR events, which will decide who gets a spot at the Paris Major, BLAST has given fans the chance to choose what the trophy should look like. However, it seems that fans are not impressed with the options on offer.
Under a Twitter post, fans have been vocal about their dislike for the trophies, with some criticizing the lack of creativity and originality. Many fans have also expressed their disappointment at the fact that the trophies do not seem to reflect the competitive nature of the event.
Despite this criticism, BLAST has announced that they are looking to redefine what a Major could look like. The tournament organizer has introduced the idea of incorporating bots and blobs into the visual identity of the event, including the trophy. According to Faye Marlborough, Head of Creative Solutions at BLAST, they want to move away from the traditional hard lines and angles seen at Majors and instead embrace softer lines, curved edges, and playful imagery.
Here are the two trophies:
“We’re introducing the BLAST Bots – loveable rogues from the blast.tv universe that act as narrators and guides through the Major broadcast, making the whole experience a more positive playful space,” Marlborough said.
The BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 RMRs will be going live next week, and the main event is scheduled to be played in Paris from May 8th. It remains to be seen whether the incorporation of bots and blobs will be a success, but one thing is certain: the Paris Major is shaping up to be an event that will be talked about for some time to come.
