BLAST to kick off season in Copenhagen
The first BLAST tournament of 2023 has been announced to take place from the 19-29th January.
The dates for the upcoming BLAST Premier Spring group have been confirmed. 12 teams will be competing from Jan. 19 until Jan. 29 for a prize pool of $177,500. The first BLAST tournament of the year will take place in Denmark, Copenhagen.
Either the groups or the structure of BLAST Spring has been announced, but six BLAST Spring Final spots are on the line during the tournament. With BLAST Premier Spring being the first big tournament for the top teams, it also gives an opportunity to warm up for the upcoming IEM Katowice which will take place from January 31st to February 12th.
The upcoming BLAST tournament will give Astralis an opportunity to use their new rifler Christian "Buzz" Andersen who signed with Astralis back in late December 2022. Also, Ninjas in Pyjamas will be playing with their newest player to the lineup. The player is yet to be announced but Danlil "headtr1ck" Valitov is the reported player that people expect to play for the Swedish team during the tournament.
