blameF and company face early elimination at the Major
Two consecutive losses set Fnatic in danger of getting sent home early, while the Australian underdogs from FlyQuest are off to a perfect start in the Opening Stage.
Fnatic’s campaign at the Perfect World Shanghai Major has taken a horrible turn, with back-to-back losses on the opening day in China.
Benjamin “blameF” Bremer and his team are now teetering on the brink of elimination, needing to win every match from here to stay in the competition.
Following a narrow defeat to Wildcard in their opener, Fnatic suffered a crushing 13-5 loss to Cloud9, leaving them at a dire 0-2 record in the Swiss stage.
Counter-Strike analyst Janko “YNk” Paunovic didn’t hold back in his critique of Fnatic’s performance.
- Who do you trust in this lineup to show up outside of blameF? Unfortunately, they are just one of those teams that might have crunched their way through the RMR, but on this stage, they don’t have much to look for," YNk remarked on the broadcast desk.
Meanwhile, on the second stream, FlyQuest delivered a stellar performance, upsetting BIG 13-5 on Nuke to advance to 2-0, now just one win away from the Elimination Stage. Check out the results and schedule down below.
