The Baltics and Scandinavia rule CS:GO
Northern Europeans love Counter-Strike!
A study from leetify.com shows that if you play Counter-Strike Global Offensive, there is a good chance that you are either from Russia or the USA, as the players from those two nations make up more than 22% of the entire CS:GO player base. No one is surprised here since those are both massive countries with huge populations.
But when you look at players per capita, the Baltics and Scandinavia lead the way. In fact, they are so far in front that the first seven countries on the list (Estonia, Denmark, Finland, Latvia, Sweden, Lithuania, and Norway) are from those regions.
Canada gets into the Top18 in the 12th spot as the only non-European country. It is no wonder that the Canadians go nuts for the game with players such as 'Twistzz', 'NAF', and 'shroud' to look up to.
