Astralis reportedly paid around $2 million for stavn and jabbi
Will the blockbuster signing be enough to help Astralis back to the top?
Doing business with your biggest rivals can end up being a very expensive thing to do.
When Astralis last month decided to acquire the two star players Martin “stavn” Lund and Jakob “jabbi” Nygaard from Heroic, it was no different.
According to HLTV’s editor-in-chief Milan “striker” Švejda, Astralis paid around $2.000.000 for the strong duo. Something striker revealed in the latest episode of HLTV Confirmed earlier this week.
- I am willing to put out the numbers because I have heard it from enough places to be confident about it. And it’s in the area of $2 million – like between $1.5 and $2 million for the two players combined, striker said on the podcast.
Stavn and jabbi were brought in to get Astralis back to the very top of Counter-Strike, also with a perspective on the upcoming Major in Copenhagen next year. On the roster, the Heroic duo replaced Christian “Buzz” Andersen and Johannes “b0RUP” Borup.
Before joining Astralis, stavn and jabbi made the headlines after allegedly having pushed out Casper “cadiaN” Møller from the team just to inform Heroic that they have made “future plans with Astralis”. You can read more about in the article below.
