Asian and Oceanian Teams Ready for ESL Pro League Season 17
Rare Atom and IHC from Asia, and Grayhound and Rooster from Oceania will be representing their regions on the international stage in Malta
The upcoming ESL Pro League Season 17 just got more exciting this weekend with the recent qualification of teams from the Asian and Oceanian regions. The event, set to take place in Malta from February 22 to March 26, will feature 32 teams from all over the world, and four of them will be representing Asia and Oceania.
From Asia, Rare Atom and IHC have secured their places in the tournament. The Chinese squad, Rare Atom, had a strong showing in the conference and went on to secure their spot without losing a matchup. IHC, on the other hand, clinched the last spot from the conference after a thrilling lower bracket match against Lynn Vision. The ESL Pro League Season 17 event will be IHC’s first appearance at ESL Pro League.
The Oceanian contingent will be represented by the Australian teams Grayhound and Rooster. Grayhound was the first team to secure their spot, clinching first place at the online event. Rooster then rounded out the Oceanic team list after a victory over Hello Kitten in the lower bracket. This will be Rooster’s first-ever event outside of their home region, and they are definitely eager to showcase what they are capable of in Malta.
The teams now have one month to prepare for the tournament, which promises to be a thrilling CS:GO event for both players and fans alike. With the best teams from around the world set to compete, it’s sure to be a showcase of the highest level in CS:GO.
