FaZe have decided to remove Helvijs “broky” Saukants from their active squad with immediate effect, the organization revealed on Monday.
The roster move comes after a disappointing first half of 2025, where both broky and FaZe have struggled to find form. The team missed playoffs at key events like IEM Katowice, IEM Melbourne, and BLAST Open Lisbon, raising serious questions about the team’s trajectory.
Major coming up
For broky, the numbers have been underwhelming. Over the past six months, the 24-year-old has posted an average rating of just 1.03 — the fourth-lowest on the team.
What makes the timing even more critical is the looming BLAST.tv Austin Major, which is now just one month away. With limited time to integrate a new AWPer, FaZe are taking a risk in the hopes of salvaging their season before the biggest event of the year.
A lengthy spell
The move marks the end of a five-and-a-half-year run for the Latvian AWPer, who joined the team back in September 2019.
During that time, broky helped FaZe lift several of the game’s biggest trophies — most notably the PGL Antwerp Major in 2022, as well as titles at IEM Katowice, IEM Cologne, and the BLAST Premier World Final.
