The IEM Dallas 2025 semi-finals delivered a night of high-stakes drama and razor-thin margins as Vitality and MOUZ emerged victorious to set up a blockbuster best-of-five grand final.

Vitality Survive Falcons Scare to Extend Historic Run

Vitality secured their sixth consecutive grand final appearance and 29th straight series win after edging past Falcons 2-1 in a tense semi-final showdown. The match went the distance, culminating in a 13-11 nail-biter on Inferno after earlier splitting Dust2 (13-7 Vitality) and Train (13-6 Falcons).

This was the fourth time in 31 days that Vitality bested Falcons, though it was far from easy. Falcons rallied from a 0-6 deficit on Inferno to bring the score to 11-12, but a clinical round 24 from Vitality closed the door on the comeback. A standout 1v3 clutch from Magisk gave Falcons late hope, but it wasn’t enough to deny apEX’s squad a shot at yet another title.

William mezii Merriman, who was pivotal in several key rounds, acknowledged the pressure post-game. He explained that the games were getting closer than the team would like but praised his squad’s ability to stay focused and close out matches under pressure.

The crowd, largely backing Falcons, created a heated atmosphere with chants aimed at apEX, only to be silenced momentarily by mezii’s 1v2 clutch in round two. Despite a spirited showing from NiKo, m0NESY, and TeSeS, it was Vitality’s clutch factor that proved decisive in the late rounds.

Vitality’s resilience comes despite dropping Train, their previously undefeated pick (7-0), largely thanks to m0NESY’s resurgence after a quiet Dust2. The Russian rifler tore through the defense, ending Train with a crucial 1v2 clutch to cap off Falcons’ dominant showing on that map.

MOUZ Outlast The MongolZ to Reach Fourth Final of 2025

Earlier in the evening, MOUZ punched their ticket to the final with a 2-0 win over The MongolZ, though the scoreline belied the difficulty of the task. Both Inferno and Nuke went down to the wire at 13-11.

The MongolZ, buoyed by heavy crowd support, showed remarkable progress on stage, nearly stealing Inferno after overturning a 0-7 deficit. A critical anti-force round loss at 11-10, however, swung momentum back to MOUZ, who capitalized to close out the map.

Nuke started off in The MongolZ’s favor, with 910 dominating early AWP duels (5-0 in openers), but Spinx ignited the comeback with a crucial 1v3 clutch. The second half saw torzsi and Jimpphat take control on the CT side, eventually sealing the win in regulation.

After the match, Spinx expressed his desire for a final showdown with his former team Vitality, stating that MOUZ deserved revenge and that this time, they intended to finish the job.

Grand Final Showdown: Vitality vs MOUZ

The final promises to be a clash of titans. On one side, Vitality, in pursuit of a sixth straight trophy and riding an incredible 29-match win streak. On the other, MOUZ, eager to finally break Vitality’s grip on international silverware and cap off a year that already includes deep playoff runs in Lisbon, Melbourne, and Copenhagen.

Vitality’s depth and ability to clutch in high-pressure moments will be tested by a MOUZ squad whose firepower and composure have matured across the year. With players like ZywOo, mezii, and flameZ delivering in crunch time for Vitality, and torzsi, xertioN, and Spinx stepping up for MOUZ, fans can expect fireworks when the final kicks off on Sunday at 21:00 local time.
