Virtus.pro stun FaZe with a dominant 13-0 victory on Dust2 at BLAST Open Lisbon 2025

Virtus.pro convincingly defeated FaZe Clan 2-1 at BLAST Open Lisbon 2025, highlighted by a remarkable 13-0 win on Dust2.

Virtus.pro convincingly defeated FaZe Clan 2-1 at BLAST Open Lisbon 2025, highlighted by a remarkable 13-0 win on Dust2. After a challenging start on their own map choice, Anubis, Virtus.pro lost 12-16 despite Kaisar “ICY” Faiznurov’s clutch plays. FaZe’s Finn “karrigan” Andersen secured victory with a solid CT-side performance, posting a notable 1.14 rating.

Virtus.pro bounce back strongly on Ancient

The Russian squad rebounded strongly on Ancient, showcasing resilience led by Timur “FL4MUS” Marev’s exceptional 30-kill performance. FaZe attempted a comeback through Håvard “rain” Nygaard’s triple kill, but ultimately fell short as Virtus.pro secured the map 16-13.

Flawless victory on Dust2 seals the series

On Dust2, Virtus.pro delivered an impeccable performance, dismantling FaZe in a shocking 13-0 sweep. FL4MUS topped the scoreboard with an outstanding 1.46 rating, demonstrating tactical and individual superiority.

Captain Denis “electroNic” Sharipov attributed the win more to mental focus than extensive preparation. Virtus.pro now face Team Vitality and star player Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut in the upper-bracket semi-final, placing increased pressure on FaZe, who must regroup quickly for their lower-bracket match against Astralis.

Vitality’s dominance continues

Team Vitality extended their winning streak to twelve consecutive series, effortlessly dispatching Astralis 2-0 at BLAST Lisbon. Astralis’ risky decision to pick Inferno backfired spectacularly, resulting in a crushing 13-4 loss against a Vitality squad that now boasts an 8-0 record on the map. All Vitality members concluded Inferno with ratings above 1.30, underscoring their total dominance.

The situation worsened for Astralis on Dust2, with Casper “cadiaN” Møller having one of the worst LAN performances of his career—a dismal 1-15 K-D and a 0.34 rating. Despite Victor “Staehr” Staehr’s isolated heroics, Astralis fell decisively 13-6, pushing them into the lower bracket and seriously jeopardizing their chances for automatic qualification to the BLAST.tv Austin Major.

Vitality’s impressive run, now at 14-1 in series play this year, signals the possible emergence of a new era in competitive CS:GO. Conversely, Astralis face mounting pressure as their Major qualification hangs by a thread, with Virtus.pro’s recent victory against FaZe intensifying the stakes in Lisbon.

Another donk masterclass

Team Spirit booked their ticket to the Upper-Bracket Semi-Final by destroying the Mongolians from The Huns. The Asian replacement team did not stand a chance against the World’s number 1, as Danil “donk” Kryshkovets wrecked The Huns with an incredible 1.90 rating and a +25 K-D score. Spirit won the match comfortably 13-8, 13-4. The Huns ended on a high though with an insane 1vs4 clutch from Yesuntumur ‘nin9’ Gantulga, which was the highlight of the day.

MOUZ vs Falcons turned out to be a much more evenly fought match with both teams having good moments in the match. It was however MOUZ who ended up edging out Falcons with a 13-11, 13-10 win on Train and Ancient.
