G2 went into the IEM Katowice 2023 with divided opinions from both fans and themselves. Despite winning the BLAST Premier World Finals in December 2022 G2 was left with separate feelings. The mixed European team struggled during the 2022 season but has since then shown that confidence is everything. G2 extended their winning streak from four to 12 as they managed to win IEM Katowice without losing a single match.
