Valve releases StarLadder Budapest Major stickers and Viewer Pass in 3.8 GB CS2 update

Unlike the Austin Major rollout that arrived only four days before the event, this update lands well ahead of the first matches, giving players and fans a more comfortable runway.

Valve has shipped a 3.8 gigabyte Counter-Strike 2 update that delivers the full content package for the upcoming StarLadder Budapest Major 2025. The structure of the update follows the familiar Major blueprint, but the timing is the standout detail. Unlike the Austin Major rollout that arrived only four days before the event, this update lands well ahead of the first matches, giving players and fans a more comfortable runway.

Viewer Pass and Pick’Em now available

The Budapest 2025 Viewer Pass has gone live, unlocking the event coin, the Pick’Em challenge and unlimited team graffiti for the entire duration of the Major. Pass holders can earn or purchase Souvenir Tokens to redeem for souvenirs from any match they choose. Playoff Souvenirs return as well, complete with Souvenir Charms built from highlight moments.

The Major begins on Monday, November 24 and all stages will be played in front of live crowds at MTK Sportpark. The Grand Final will be a best of five, marking the first time a Major champion will need to claim three maps in a title series.

Full sticker capsule release and the new Sticker Slabs

Alongside the pass, Valve has released the full line of StarLadder Budapest Major stickers. Every team logo and every player autograph is now available in game. These are core items for collectors, traders and anyone chasing high tier crafts during the event period.

A new cosmetic feature called Sticker Slabs is also part of the update. Slabs allow players to display a sticker as a charm without committing it to a weapon. Breaking the slab returns the sticker to the inventory, which keeps valuable stickers safe while still giving players a way to show them off.

The overall package is consistent with recent Major updates, but the earlier release window stands out. With the content now in the game, the community can dive into Pick’Ems, craft setups and prepare for the final Major of the year without the usual last minute rush.
