As the Major approaches the final stages where the absolute stars of the CS2 scene enter, professional players are utilizing different methods to finalize their individual preparation. By utilizing the newly launched Pley.gg FACEIT Finder tool to look up public player statistics, a clear divide becomes visible regarding how much time the biggest names in Counter-Strike spend on the matchmaking platform.
The active grinders
Some players rely heavily on pugging to keep their mechanics sharp. Playing under the alias donk666, donk has been actively grinding FACEIT matches in the days leading up to the event. He is currently riding a seven-map win streak, posting an impressive +119 K-D score across those seven matches alone.

A similar pattern is seen with m0NESY, who has played five matches within the last week. His teammate Maksim “kyousuke” Lukin, playing under the name cemen_bakin, has been even more active with 13 matches recorded in the past week. These recent sessions will likely be their last for a while. Their head coach zonic instituted a rule earlier in the year banning Falcons players from playing FACEIT in the direct weeks leading up to the Major.
Stepping away from the servers
In stark contrast to the heavy grinders, other star players prefer to keep their practice strictly to team praccs and offline environments. ZywOo falls into this category, with data showing his most recent FACEIT match took place on the 5th of May.
Taking this approach a step further is ropz, who is notoriously known for not playing on the platform at all. A search of his profile confirms this long-standing habit, revealing that his last official match on the platform was played on the 31st of July 2025.
You can look up yourself, your teammates, or any of the professional players in our FACEIT Finder tool.
