A day after going 19-36 against MOUZ, bLitz was the best player on the server. The MongolZ captain finished 36-22 as his team won all four halves against Legacy, 13-8 on Mirage and 13-8 on Inferno, to stay alive at PGL Masters Bucharest 2026. Legacy, who lost the 2025 final of this event, leave Bucharest with one series win from four.

Two identical scorelines
Both maps finished 13-8, and both went the same way: seven rounds to five in the first half, six to three in the second. The MongolZ never trailed at a half on either map.
The first of them was Legacy’s own pick. Mirage had been Legacy‘s most reliable map over the past three months, with nine wins from 13, and they had saved three map points on it to beat DENDELE in double overtime on Sunday. This time The MongolZ held their CT half 7-5 and closed it out on the T side. dumau went 22-13 on the map, but his four teammates managed 41 kills between them, and try finished it with 38.0 ADR.
Inferno was a bolder choice. The MongolZ had lost it to Aurora and to Vitality earlier in the week, had won only four of their last ten Inferno maps, and had dropped it 11-13 to Legacy when the two teams last met, at the CS Asia Championships in May. They started on the T side and took Legacy’s defence apart. Splits onto B through arch, with 910 lurking long, kept arriving at sites Legacy had just left. Techno found try through the library wall. When rounds came down to a few players, The MongolZ waited for each other and swung together, and they won several of them a player down after the bomb was planted.
Legacy took the second pistol round and pulled within a round at 7-6, but The MongolZ’ rifle rounds were stronger on both maps. Legacy’s last real idea was a four-man push out of spawn into middle, and 910 was waiting for it with the AWP.
The captain’s answer
bLitz came into Tuesday with 33 kills and 62 deaths across the defeats to Vitality and MOUZ. Against Legacy he had the highest rating on the server at 1.59, 95.0 ADR and a KAST of 85.7%, and HLTV’s readers voted him player of the match. He was 21-11 on Mirage alone.
His calling stood out just as much. The MongolZ T halves were built around mid and banana control and late splits, and Legacy rotated early and often to stop them. On Inferno, bLitz won a clutch by letting a teammate die in front of him without giving away his own position, then taking the kill a few seconds later. That kind of patience was missing from the line-up that went deep at bigger events before, which tended to overplay winning positions late in rounds.
Techno was the other driving force. He went 32-27 with the biggest round swing of the series, and 18-15 on Inferno. The line-up itself is only weeks old in its current form, with nin9 back from The Huns and cobrazera recalled after the September changes and it won the 1win Private Club title in Belgrade only last week.
A week that came apart for Legacy
For Legacy, the exit completes a poor week. They lost to Nemiga and Liquid without winning a map, needed overtime to get past DENDELE, and won two maps out of eight in Bucharest. Three of the six they lost were their own picks: Ancient and Inferno against Liquid, and Mirage against The MongolZ.
The team has been leaning on two players. latto arrived with the 11th-best rating of the event and was Legacy’s best again at 31-28, while dumau carried them on Mirage before falling to 8-15 on Inferno. The other three gave them too little. arT went 20-34 and had the lowest rating of the ten players, his third straight series with a heavily negative score after 28-38 against DENDELE and 19-33 against Liquid. The in-game leader has only recently returned from a break for health problems, and Legacy, who finished in the top three at the Esports World Cup before his absence, have not looked like the same team since.
Their 12th to 14th place is worth $18,750. Their place at the Singapore Major was never in doubt and is clinched in HLTV’s simulation of Valve’s Regional Standings, which also puts them on course for Stage 3. The defeat costs them 22 points but leaves them ninth in the standings.
An invite edging closer
The MongolZ have the most to gain from the result. The win is worth 65 points and moves them from 20th to 12th in HLTV’s projection of Valve’s standings, five days before the November 2 cut-off that fills the global invites to PGL Cluj-Napoca 2027. HLTV’s invite simulation for that event now gives them a 78.4% chance of a place, up from 64% on Monday. A run to the last four in Bucharest would make it a near certainty. Their Major place is already settled, as the top-ranked team in Asia.
First they need one more win. On Wednesday The MongolZ play the last Swiss round with two wins and two losses, needing a victory to reach the quarter-finals, and their opponent depends on Tuesday’s remaining matches. Liquid and Nemiga are in the same position. Results and pairings are on our PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 page.
Legacy will not have long to wait for a rematch. The two teams open IEM Beijing against each other in Group A, with the event starting on November 2.
