Pley.gg is pleased to announce that Chicken.gg has become the official Major partner during the IEM Cologne CS2 Major 2026. The agreement strengthens Pley’s ability to deliver high-quality Counter-Strike 2 coverage throughout the entire event.
The Major returns to Cologne for the first time in a decade, with the playoffs held in the legendary LANXESS Arena, known among fans as the Cathedral of Counter-Strike. For many players and fans, Cologne is the biggest stage the game has to offer, and this year it hosts a Major for the first time since 2016.
“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Chicken.gg for the Major in Cologne. There is no venue with more history in Counter-Strike than the LANXESS Arena, and with Chicken.gg on board we can secure our in-depth coverage of what might be the most anticipated Major ever”,
Simon Damgaard – Commercial Director PLEY.GG
As with past Majors, Pley.gg will be on site with a reporter and video content from Stage 2 and onwards. During the Budapest Major in December, Pley’s interviews alone generated more than 150,000 views. The team aims to deliver the same level of depth, access, and consistency in Cologne, where 32 teams will battle it out for a spot in the Cathedral.
Deep roots in Counter-Strike history
Chicken.gg brings a strong connection to the Counter-Strike community. With a logo inspired by the iconic CS chicken, the company has built a brand rooted in the game’s culture. Chicken.gg continues to play an active role in the CS landscape by supporting streamers, content creators, tournament organizers and websites like Pley.gg.
The partnership will support Pley.gg’s on-site reporting and video production throughout the IEM Cologne Major 2026, from the opening stages all the way to the grand final in the LANXESS Arena. Both teams look forward to delivering a strong viewing experience for fans around the world.
