PGL Cluj-Napoca Playoff Bracket Finalized: Astralis, SAW, and MOUZ Secure Last Spots

The playoff stage of PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 is set, with Astralis, SAW, and MOUZ clinching the final spots after a hard-fought Swiss group stage.

The playoff stage of PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 is set, with Astralis, SAW, and MOUZ clinching the final spots after a hard-fought Swiss group stage. As the teams prepare for the knockout rounds at the BT Arena, these three squads enter the playoffs with momentum but also significant challenges ahead.

Astralis: Looking for Stability

Astralis secured their place in the playoffs despite an inconsistent group stage. While they managed to qualify, the team has yet to find the form that made them one of the most feared rosters in previous years. Their upcoming match against The MongolZ presents a difficult challenge, as the Mongolian squad has looked dominant so far.

For Astralis, much will depend on whether they can tighten up their tactical play and avoid slow starts. If they can find their rhythm early in the series, they have the potential to go deeper in the tournament. However, recent performances suggest they still have work to do to compete with the top teams.

SAW: The Unexpected Playoff Contender

SAW’s journey to the playoffs has been one of the biggest surprises of the tournament. After starting with two consecutive losses to FaZe and Astralis, the Portuguese squad fought back with wins over FlyQuest, Complexity, and 3DMAX to secure their place. This unexpected run has turned into a fitting farewell for Ricardo “roman” Oliveira and José “Shr” Gil, both of whom are set to depart the team after the event.

Their playoff opener against FaZe will be a major test. While FaZe is considered one of the stronger teams in the tournament, SAW has already shown they can bounce back under pressure. If they can continue their momentum and play without fear, they could cause another upset.

MOUZ: A Team Gaining Momentum

MOUZ has gradually improved throughout the tournament, showing adaptability and strong individual performances. Lotan “Spinx” Giladi has been a key player for them, while Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin has taken on in-game leading responsibilities in recent matches.

Their quarterfinal matchup against paiN will be an interesting contest, as the Brazilian team has also looked solid. MOUZ will need to remain disciplined, as paiN has a tendency to capitalize on opponents’ mistakes. If MOUZ can continue their upward trajectory, they could become a serious contender as the playoffs progress.
