The South Americans mounted a comeback on the Nuke to secure a 2-0.

The South Americans mounted a comeback on the Nuke to secure a 2-0.

paiN Gaming has eliminated 3DMAX from the BLAST.tv Austin Major. They will join the 2-2 pool and have a chance for playoffs tomorrow.

3DMAX is eliminated after being in strong position on Nuke to force a decider, where they were the favorite on paper.

3DMAX suffered another defeat on Inferno, after the close loss they had against Na`Vi, where they lost 4 match points.

This time they were beaten by paiN, who were able to turn around a 4-7 deficit on their CT-side to win the map comfortably.

They got their fifth round thanks to a clean 2v2 retake from nqz and dav1deuS.

The recently added Uruguayan, dgt, top-fragged to earn paiN the victory.

3DMAX get to 11-4 on Nuke

paiN started off with the T pistol, but were in a 2v3 position in the force-buy. Unfortunately for 3DMAX, Ex3rcice failed to clear the boxes on B-site properly, and nqz got a triple kill from behind to convert for paiN.

Even so, 3DMAX came back with a vengeance to win four gun rounds in a row and take control of the first half.

The French went on a successive 7-round run, including a 3v5 with a late-round crunch on the terrorists on A-site.

paiN fought back with a successful force-buy to at least get a 4-8 half.

Despite, winning the pistol, the map took a turn in favor of 3DMAX when Ex3rcice won a 1v3 in the force-buy round.

PaiN brings it back to 2-0

It looked like the game was close to over, but then paiN’s CT-side caught steam.

They streaked 6 rounds in a row, to make the game 11-11, with all paiN players surpassing 15 kills on the map.

3DMAX had a chance to close it 13-11, but paiN clutched it out to take the map to overtime.

Once in overtime, paiN continued their dominance to destroy the Frenchmen’s dream of making the playoffs at Austin.
