Media: Falcons finalize signing of Spirit prodigy kyousuke

The Russian wunderkind is expected to replace Emil "Magisk" Reif on the Falcons squad.

Team Falcons have reportedly completed the signing of 17-year-old Russian AWPer Maxim “kyousuke” Lukin from Spirit, according to multiple reports by Sheep Esports and Guillaume ‘neL’ Rathier.

The move will be finalised after the BLAST.tv Austin Major in June, with kyousuke expected to join the starting lineup immediately following the event.

While it’s not yet officially confirmed who he’ll replace, French insider neL reports that Emil “Magisk” Reif will make way for the Spirit Academy talent.

kyousuke has quickly built a reputation as one of the most promising names in the CS2 scene. Often compared to donk — another Spirit Academy graduate — the young rifler averaged a 1.29 rating over the past year and recently led Spirit Academy to a title at BetBoom LanDaLan 2.

With no path to the Spirit main team, kyousuke is now set to make his tier-one debut under the Falcons banner, being a team that’s spent 2025 aggressively rebuilding its roster.

Following the recent arrival of Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov, Falcons are doubling down on young firepower, combining rising talent with an experienced core.

If the move plays out as expected, Falcons’ roster after the Major could look like this:

  • Nikola “NiKo” Kovač
  • Damjan “kyxsan” Stoilkovski
  • René “TeSeS” Madsen
  • Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov
  • Maxim “kyousuke” Lukin

  • Danny “zonic” Sørensen (coach)
