HEROIC and B8 advance to Stage 2 as first teams sent home from Austin

The favourites prevail in Texas!

After two intense days of action at the BLAST.tv Austin Major, the first two teams have locked in spots for Stage 2.

HEROIC and B8 emerged from the 2-0 bracket with perfect records, becoming the first squads to advance from the opening phase of the tournament in Texas.

HEROIC edged out FlyQuest 2-1 in a close series, led once again by their Belarusian star Andrey “tN1R” Tatarinovich, who delivered a 1.40 rating in the match yesterday.

B8 followed suit shortly after, bouncing back from a map deficit to take down Wildcard in convincing fashion and complete their flawless Stage 1 run.

Early exits for Metizport and Fluxo

At the other end of the standings, Metizport and Fluxo became the first two teams eliminated from the event. Both sides failed to find a single win in Austin, crashing out after three straight losses.

Their final defeats came at the hands of Imperial and Chinggis Warriors, respectively.

Meanwhile, NRG, OG, Nemiga, and BetBoom kept their hopes alive by picking up key wins in the 1-1 pool. You can find the full list of results and updated standings below.
