GamerLegion snag 3-1 slot over BIG

BIG had a chance to seal the deal, but will have to roll the dice in the 2-2 pool.

BIG had a chance to seal the deal, but will have to roll the dice in the 2-2 pool.

GamerLegion won a close 2-0 against BIG, with only four rounds the difference between the two sides. The former was one of the favorites to go 3-0, but were beaten by BetBoom yesterday.

BIG was unable to close out either of the maps today, after having two map points on GamerLegion’s pick.

After GamerLegion got off to an 8-4 start on Overpass and then won the pistol round, it seemed all but done. However, BIG’s CT-side was more than serviceable, with gr1ks enabling an 8-round streak.

GamerLegion, through the aid of Snax’s calling and opening kills, managed to reach overtime. Then, they closed out the map, again by finding two extra terrorist rounds.

BIG also had a lead on Ancient

BIG was once again in position to close out the map on Ancient. After having a 10-8 lead and a huge economy advantage, BIG attempted a full A-execute which led to a loss.

After that, they spiralled out of control, losing 5 of the next 6 rounds and the match.

Tomorrow, they will have a new opponent to determine whether they will make Stage 1 of the Major for the first time since 2024.

Player of the match: Snax

Snax put forward a captain’s performance today, both calling and fragging his team to victory. He led the server in damage with 90 ADR, and was competitive in opening kills and clutches.
