G2 sweep FaZe 2-0 at BLAST Open London 2025

Two CS titans collided in one of the weekend’s marquee matchups. Both G2 and FaZe arrived with a refreshed look and confident calling.

Inferno

The first map was G2’s map pick and they showed it. They grabbed control early on the T-side, strung together a long run, and never let FaZe’s economy stabilize. G2 took an 8-4 lead at the half.

The halves were defined by clean site hits and tidy retakes, with G2 dominating the key the moments that ended up deciding Inferno. The finish was clinical, 13-5, with little room for a comeback once the momentum set in.

Dust 2

FaZe’s map pick was tighter from the start. The first half traded blows and landed at 6-6, neither side able to pull clear for long.

After the switch the lead changed hands several times, but G2 found the late answers and got map and series points at 12-10. FaZe won the next two and pushed it to overtime.

In overtime Karrigan gave FaZe a map point after a crazy 1v2 clutch to go ahead 15-13, but G2 resisted and forced a 2nd overtime. G2 took three CT rounds in a row to secure map and series points at 18-15 – and finally G2 closed the series winning 19-15.

G2 will face FURIA at the BLAST Open London 2025 on Saturday for a spot in the finals.
