G2 benches Snax as roster changes continue in 2025

G2 Esports has officially benched Polish in-game leader Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski, continuing the organization’s ongoing roster reshuffle in 2025.

G2 Esports has officially benched Polish in-game leader Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski, continuing the organization’s ongoing roster reshuffle in 2025. The announcement was made via the team’s social media, thanking Snax for his contributions during a brief but successful stint.

“We can’t thank Snax enough for his contributions and plays since joining us last year. We wouldn’t have been able to lift the BLAST Fall Final and BLAST World Final without you,” G2 posted.
“With this, Snax has been placed on the bench. We will say goodbye properly when he is no longer on our roster.”

Snax joined G2 in the summer of 2024, but soon saw the G2 core being ripped apart following the departure of star players Nikola “NiKo” Kovač and Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov, who were transferred to Team Falcons.

Leadership shuffle continues

This marks the third in-game leader to be benched by G2 in recent times, following the earlier exits of Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen and Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen. Notably, HooXi led the team to victories at IEM Katowice 2023 and the BLAST World Final 2022, making his tenure the most successful among the recent IGLs.

G2 has not confirmed who will take over in-game leadership, though sources within the scene have suggested that Nemanja “huNter-” Kovač could be stepping into that role moving forward.

No replacement named yet

As of now, no replacement for Snax has been announced, and G2 has not indicated a timeline for revealing its new fifth. The team is expected to remain active in the transfer market, especially given the funds available after the high-profile exits of NiKo and m0NESY.

G2 continues to seek stability following an inconsistent start to the 2025 season. With their IGL position once again in flux, all eyes will be on who the organization brings in next.
