The number #6 team at the Major is in danger of elimination.

The number #6 team at the Major is in danger of elimination.

G2 Esports has defeated Aurora Gaming 13-4 on Inferno to go 2-1 at the BLAST.tv Austin Major. Tomorrow, G2 will play to qualify for the playoffs, while Aurora will try to save themselves from elimination.

TheMongolZ played Lynn Vision on Nuke in another 1-1 game, to put themselves in the same position as G2, while Lynn Vision is in the same pool as Aurora.

G2 embarrasses Aurora

G2 took on Aurora on Inferno, preferring it over the more open map of Nuke.

Aurora’s CT-side was empty except for the performance of jotAAA, who managed several multi-kills defending A. Besides that, G2 was successful in planting the bomb and winning post-plants.

Besides the performance of jotAAA, no one on Aurora managed 10 kills across the whole map.

On G2, it was huNter- who took over the game, who closed out the game 13-4 on the CT-side.

Lynn Vision had gotten a 6-2 start, but was stifled by a 4-kill round by 910 that gave the Mongolians their third round, and allowing for five at the half.

The second half was all about TheMongolZ, who managed to win 8 rounds in a row to close the game, with Senzu top-fragging a successful solo hold in the pistol round.

There were some close rounds, including a retake, that TheMongolZ managed to close out with clinical aim and shooting.
