BLAST Austin marks the first time FURIA has made it since 2022.
FURIA have defeated Virtus.pro 2-0 to be the first team to make it to the playoffs of the BLAST.tv Austin Major.
They are directly qualified to the quarter-final, which will be played on the 19th or 20th of June.
This achievement comes only two months after changes in the roster, which turned the team from Brazilian to international.
It also involved changing FalleN to a rifler, having been a main AWPer for his entire storied CS:GO career.
FURIA take VP’s map pick with ease
On Mirage, it was the yuurih show, as he got 20 kills and 139 ADR over just 16 rounds.
VP only managed 3 rounds in the first half, and got rolled over on their own CT-side 0-4.
On the map pick of VP things did not fare much better for them.
This time stifled by YEKINDAR, they started on CT-side but only managed to streak rounds together at the end of the half.
FalleN was the highest-rated player on Train, a newer version map where one of his teams, Luminosity Gaming, has a historic streak.
FURIA continue their strong form and qualify for the playoffs of the Major.
