Vitality’s entry fragger spoke after their 2-0 win over FURIA in a crucial match for their Grand Slam campaign.
flameZ spoke in the post-match interview about his slow start to the series.
Sometimes you whiff one kill, and have a bad half and you start 0-11. But it doesn’t really matter, because my teammates were finding good trades and winnig rounds.
The rifler is part of a team that has been indomitable since its formation, but especially in 2026, where they are in contention for a second ESL Grand Slam. They had to get past local favorites.
When we went on stage, we all had goosebumps, it was so loud. They had a good start on the first map, so we needed to get used to it. We had to silence the crowd.
Spirit has a chance to make history
Vitality managed to silence the crowd succesfully, teeing them up for a 2-0 win with a dominant ZywOo performance.
Still, they have to get past Spirit, who have a chance to spoil Vitality’s ESL Grand Slam and their $1,000,000 bonus, getting an extra $100,000 themselves. That would be the first time a contender for the ESL Grand Slam would be denied in the grand final, the last attempt being by Falcons against Vitality themselves at IEM Melbourne 2025.
tN1R is playing really good. Spirit is figuring out how to play with each other and they are making some plays that they want. But with the Grand Slam on the line, they will have to play fucking good CS to beat us.
