The first elimination pressure of the StarLadder Budapest Major hit hard on Day 2, and no story looms larger than FaZe dropping to 1-2 after a tough loss to NIP. They now face a do-or-die match to stay alive in the Swiss Stage. Meanwhile Legacy, B8, NIP and fnatic secured important wins to reach 2-1, while RED Canids and PARIVISION slipped into elimination territory.
Legacy vs RED Canids (Nuke)
RED Canids opened strong with a 3-0 start, but Legacy struck back with two low-buy wins and battled their way to a 6-6 halftime score. Once they switched to the T-side, Legacy completely took over. They won the pistol, the first gun round and every round that followed for a flawless second half. Dumau played a key role in keeping the momentum flowing as Legacy closed it out 13-6. They move to 2-1, while RED Canids drop to 1-2 and face elimination next.
B8 vs PARIVISION (Inferno)
B8 started hot with a 3-0 lead before PARIVISION fought back and strung together enough rounds to end the half up 7-5. A smoke-defuse pistol from Jame extended the advantage, but esenthial’s huge 1v3 swung the entire game back toward B8. They tied it 8-8, took the lead and pushed ahead 11-9 before PARIVISION clawed back to 11-11. B8 stayed calm, executed two sharp A-site hits and secured the map 13-11. B8 move up to 2-1, while PARIVISION fall to 1-2.
FaZe vs NIP (Overpass)
FaZe opened well with a 3-0 start, but once NIP found their footing, the game shifted. Strong B-site takes and solid mid-round calling led NIP to an 8-4 halftime lead. FaZe closed the gap with the pistol and conversions, but xKacperSky’s crucial 1v2 and a snappi AWP-round pushed NIP ahead 12-7. FaZe tried to rally, but NIP’s B-hold sealed a 13-8 win. NIP advance to 2-1, while FaZe drop to 1-2 and now face a must-win elimination match.
fnatic vs Imperial (Train)
fnatic produced one of their most controlled performances of the event so far, winning the pistol, conversions and first gun round for a 4-0 start. With strong retakes and confident site holds, they powered their way to a commanding 10-2 halftime lead. The second half brought no surprises as fnatic won the pistol and secured match point quickly before closing the map 13-3. fnatic rise to 2-1, and Imperial fall to 1-2.
