Statistics for the most played CS2 maps in Season 4

The data below showcases the player counts and win rates for the most played CS2 maps leading into Season 5. Europe holds the record for the region with the most players, while South America and Asia often swap for the second spot.

Premier and Competitive stand as the 2 most popular game modes by a wide margin.

You can quickly see whether a location favors the attackers or the defenders based on these core percentages. We made sure to streamline this layout so you can extract the facts immediately.

Dust 2

Player numbers for this classic desert environment ranged anywhere between 150,100 and 214,350 depending on the week. It surprisingly holds the crown among the most played CS2 maps right now given the popularity of Mirage in the community.

Counter-Terrorists are leading the way with a 50.6% round win rate, leaving the Terrorist side at 49.4%. Terrorist players are statistically better at the Round 2 conversion here, posting an 83.2% success rate against the Counter-Terrorist 81.9%.

We see that 53.4% of players queued this location in Competitive mode, while 24.2% queued it in Premier.

Why does the community love this dusty setting so much? The answer lies in its simple layout.

Solo players can thrive without relying heavily on team coordination or complex utility lineups. Imagine you are holding the middle doors with a sniper rifle, where that single engagement often decides the entire round. Because of this accessibility, we believe it will easily remain one of the most played CS2 maps throughout the rest of Season 5.

Mirage

Counter-Terrorists completely dominate this Moroccan town, winning 54.2% of the rounds compared to the Terrorist 45.8%. Mirage comes in a very close second among the most played CS2 maps in the active rotation, with player counts ranging from 107,300 to 161,280.

Mirage

The defense also holds a higher Round 2 conversion rate of 85.8%, while the attacking side sits at 80.7%. If we look at Premier only, this setting actually takes the first place, with players queueing for it at a staggering rate of 37.1%. In Competitive mode, it makes up 33.9% of the queue.

What happens when your team completely loses control of the middle area? You usually get choked out of the bomb sites.

The layout offers flexible strategies, making it a staple for anyone wanting to improve their fundamentals. You can expect to see this battleground frequently, as it continually ranks highly among the most played CS2 maps across all skill groups.

Inferno

Securing its spot as the third on the list of most played CS2 maps, player numbers for this Italian village ranged from 57,550 to 87,230 depending on the week. Counter-Terrorists usually take the cake here, boasting a round win percentage of 51.5%.

Inferno

Terrorist round wins trail slightly at 48.5%. The same pattern applies to Round 2 conversions, where the defense holds a 79.1% rate against the offense at 76.4%.

We found that 28% of players queued this location in Competitive mode, while 27.7% picked it in Premier. Interestingly, 24% of players queued this location in Wingman, proving it functions as a highly popular 2 versus 2 environment.

Picture a chaotic push down the narrow path of Banana, where heavy utility usage dictates who survives the opening 20 seconds. This reliance on close combat and aggressive utility keeps Inferno firmly planted in the discussion of most played CS2 maps for Season 5.

Nuke

Ranging from 34,470 to 54,750 active queue entries, this nuclear facility favors the defense heavily, showing a Counter-Terrorist round win rating of 54.4%. The Terrorist side struggles with only 45.6% of round wins, proving how difficult attacking can be.

Nuke

Round 2 conversions look no better for the attackers, with the defense holding a dominant 83.7% against the offense at 78.5%.

The data shows that most people queue here in Premier, which stands at 47.2%, while the Competitive queue sits at 27.9%.

Have you ever tried defending the lower bomb site while hearing footsteps coming from every direction? The vertical layout forces players to rely heavily on sound cues and complex rotations.

Dedicated teams love the tactical depth, securing its position for coordinated groups. Finding success inside the facility requires more communication than almost any other option among the most played CS2 maps today.

Ancient

Recording player counts from 24,180 to 35,430 over the measured weeks, the defense still leads the way in round win percentages at 51.8%. The attackers sit at 48.2%, yet they surprisingly lead the Round 2 conversions with 83.8%, beating the Counter-Terrorist 80.8%.

Ancient

We noticed that a massive 69% of players queued this jungle ruin in Premier mode, with only 31% queuing it in Competitive.

This specific layout focuses heavily on map control and fast rotations.

Imagine your team losing the middle area early. You instantly lose the ability to support the other side of the map safely. The community appreciates how this punishes poor communication.

As teams figure out better strategies, Ancient continues to cement itself as a staple among the most played CS2 maps in competitive circles.

Anubis

This Egyptian setting remains uniquely Terrorist favored, with attackers winning 52% of the rounds and defenders securing 48%. Depending on the week, the range of players queueing Anubis went from 19,480 to 68,390.

Anubis

Round 2 conversions also favor the Terrorists at 85.7% against the Counter-Terrorist 80.9%. Exactly 58% of players queued this location in Premier mode, and 25.8% queued it in Competitive.

The complex water routes offer attackers multiple ways to split the defense. How do you stop a fast execution when the attackers have 3 different entry points?

You are forced to play passively and gather information before committing your resources. This offensive freedom makes it a fun experience, helping it rise through the ranks of the most played CS2 maps during Season 5.

Overpass

At the last place, we have a location recording a range of players from just 9,780 to 53,270. Counter-Terrorists were dominant here with a 55.7% round win rate, while the Terrorist side only managed a 44.3% win rate.

Overpass

Round 2 conversions also went to the defense with 85.7% against the attacking 77.6%.

This location was usually played in Competitive mode, with 52.3% of players queueing for it there, and so little in Premier that finding exact data proved difficult.

The long rotation times and complex vertical design made it hard for casual players to learn. Picture running from the canal all the way to the bank, only to find the bomb already planted and the round lost.

While it is no longer among the most played CS2 maps in the active rotation, the community looks forward to seeing how Cache changes the game.

Looking ahead to Cache

Cache returns to the active duty pool, bringing nostalgia and fresh tactical opportunities. We anticipate a massive spike in pick rates as veterans return to their favorite industrial battleground. Will it immediately become one of the most played CS2 maps this season?

The focus on middle control and straightforward bomb site retakes makes Cache incredibly appealing for solo players. The layout rewards good aim and simple flashbangs, similar to the reasons people love Dust 2.

We expect the Premier veto phases to change completely, as teams ban Cache until they learn the updated angles. Over the next 4 to 5 weeks, the statistics will shift dramatically.

Tracking these changes provides the best insight into the most played CS2 maps, and we will continue monitoring the servers to see how the player base adapts.
