Astralis has officially announced a significant extension of Victor "Staehr" Staehr's contract, securing the player's future with the team through 2027.

Astralis has officially announced a significant extension of Victor “Staehr” Staehr’s contract, securing the player’s future with the team through 2027. This decision reflects the organization’s commitment to maintaining consistency and fostering continued growth within the team.

Staehr Eager to Continue Progress

Following the announcement, Victor “Staehr” shared his excitement, stating, “I’m obviously super happy that everything is now in place, and I can focus 100% on Astralis. We’re in a great spot as a team, and my clear priority has been to extend my contract so we can continue the progress we’ve made.”

Staehr emphasized the unity and positive environment within Astralis, mentioning productive conversations with Sports Director Kasper Straube. “It’s amazing to feel that everyone is on the same page. There’s a real sense of calm within the team, and even though we know there’s still a lot of work to do, there’s belief all around,” he added.

Reflecting on the recent international events in China and Cluj, Staehr highlighted the extraordinary support from fans. “We really started to feel the kind of support that Astralis is known for. Whether during matches or just walking down the street, you could feel how much Astralis means to people. I’m incredibly proud to be a part of that.”

Stability and Optimism for Astralis

Sports Director Kasper Straube also spoke about the significance of Staehr’s contract extension. “It goes without saying that a player like Staehr is a priority for us,” said Straube. “With this extension, we’ve secured all players for the coming years, ensuring the stability and continuity necessary for sustained success.”

Straube acknowledged the challenges ahead but expressed optimism about the team’s future. “We know it takes hard work and many more wins to repay the incredible support we receive everywhere, but I sense a growing optimism around us,” he said. “We have a team with the quality and mentality to keep improving and eventually compete for titles.”

Staehr, often praised for his flexibility on a team, has averaged a respectable 1.06 rating during the last three months for Astralis. He joined Astralis in June 2023.

The Astralis lineup now includes Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz, Victor “Staehr” Staehr, Casper “cadiaN” Møller, Martin “stavn” Lund, and Jakob “jabbi” Nygaard, coached by Casper “ruggah” Due.
