The first season of 2026 is coming to an end with the IEM Cologne Major just around the corner. Bruno “latto” Rebelatto snatched the MVP award at the last event before the Major, where he and Legacy defeated Falcons in the Grand Final at the CS Asia Championshps.
Looking at the year so far, it has been dominated by Team Vitality and especially Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, who has won four awards.
Dominance across international arenas
ZywOo started his MVP campaign in February, securing consecutive awards at IEM Kraków and PGL Cluj-Napoca. His form carried into the spring, where he added the IEM Rio medal in April and the BLAST Rivals Spring trophy in early May. His teammate Robin “ropz” Kool did what nobody in Team Vitality had done before, when he won an MVP award at the BLAST Open Rotterdam tournament, becoming the first Team Vitality player to win an award with ZywOo present at the tournament.

While Team Vitality holds the majority of individual honors so far this year, Natus Vincere has successfully produced two distinct MVP recipients. Drin “makazze” Shaqiri claimed the medal during ESL Pro League Season 23 in March, followed by teammate Ihor “w0nderful” Zhdanov, who secured top honors at IEM Atlanta in May.
The remaining titles have been distributed across various top-tier organizations. Nikola “NiKo” Kovač opened the year with a win at the BLAST Bounty Winter for Team Falcons. Regional tier-one events saw Mykyta “cmtry” Samolotov peak for FUT Esports at PGL Bucharest, Danil “donk” Kryshkovets command the server for Team Spirit at PGL Astana, and Bruno “latto” Rebelatto capture the CS Asia Championships MVP for Legacy.
