A new holiday event called Merry Mayhem is coming to Apex Legends on December 16, bringing a fresh rotation of Wild Cards, new mythic care package weapons, returning modifiers, and festive map interactions. This update will be one of the biggest additions to Season 27’s holiday schedule.
New wild cards coming on December 16
The Merry Mayhem update introduces three new Wild Cards designed to shake up every fight during the holiday event.
New Wild Cards:
• Shield boosters and shield cells fully restore shields on use
• Gain the ability to self revive when an ally knocks down an enemy
• Apply a 5 second silence to an enemy after breaking their shields
These new modifiers are built to increase chaos, tempo, and teamfight pressure during the event window.

Returning holiday wild cards
Several popular Wild Cards are also making a return for Merry Mayhem, adding explosive, aggressive and mobility focused gameplay.
Returning Wild Cards:
• Vampirism
• Chain damage
• Explosion on knock
• Extra grenades
• Extra melee damage
• Wallrun
Respawn has additional Wild Cards not listed in the current files, and these will likely arrive in a follow up patch.
Holiday wildcard care package rotation
The Merry Mayhem event will include a wide range of mythic care package weapons in Wild Card mode.
Mythic Wild Card Care Package Pool:
• Triple Take
• Wingman
• Prowler
• L star
• G7 Scout
• CAR
• Rampage
• P2020
• Kraber
Holiday mythic special drops
Special holiday supplies will also drop mythic tier weapons, including:
• Mythic R 301
• Mythic Flatline
• Power Sword
• Bat
• Knife
These holiday drops will be guarded by Spectres, adding a PvE twist before players can secure the mythic loot.
Upcoming recolors on December 2
Several recolor cosmetics will rotate into the shop on December 2 ahead of the Merry Mayhem event.
