It’s the last chance for the current NAVI squad to prove themselves to the organisation.
Otherwise, roster changes appear increasingly likely.
That clear assessment comes from NAVI captain Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen, speaking to PGL ahead of the PGL Astana event, following a prolonged period of disappointing results for the team.
– We need to be mentally there for the last two tournaments. We need to understand that we need to deliver now, or something is likely going to happen. That’s only natural. I have been in many teams, and I know NAVI wants to win, Aleksib told James Banks and PGL.
He continued:
– We still have two tournaments to show what we’re capable of. I feel like the pressure is off in a way that it’s – I wouldn’t say it’s the last dance – but we need to make it happen now. This is the last chance for us to show NAVI what we’re capable of and show ourselves that we’re the same NAVI lineup as last year.

A critical stretch for NAVI
Things change quickly in top-tier Counter-Strike, and NAVI is a prime example. Aleksib and company were widely considered one of the best teams in the world throughout last season, even taking home Team of the Year at the HLTV Awards.
But four months into 2025, the team is underperforming and staring down the possibility of a roster shake-up.
The ongoing PGL Astana and the upcoming BLAST.tv Austin Major will be the final two events of the season for NAVI. And according to their in-game leader, they’ll also be the last chance to prove they deserve to stay together.
