The last match of the day had CIS-squad Entropiq going up against fnatic, where Entropiq took their fourth victory in group A with a 2-0 win.
fnatic got off to a hot start on their map pick of Overpass, four kills from ALEX in the forcebuy round, helping to provide momentum for a 5-1 start. The European team quickly hit a stumbling block when Entropiq began to find their right footing to tie the score 7-7 and narrowly pull ahead 8-7 at the break. The CIS team kept their momentum on the T side, winning four rounds in a row before fnatic found their way to stabilize their defense and turned things upside down. It went back-and-forth before Entropiq closed out the first map of the series 16-13.
The match continued on Entropiq’s map pick of Vertigo, where the boys in black-and-orange took the pistol and quickly created a 3-0 advantage thanks to an inspiring William “mezii” Merriman performance. Entropiq fought back and ended up winning the half by making up for a 0-3 start, taking nine rounds in a row for a strong lead at halftime 10-5. Fnatic won the pistol in the second half, taking it to a 9-10 scoreline, but once the economy came up for the CIS squad, they began to retake control of the game up to match point. ALEX managed to keep fnatic alive with a 1v4 clutch and get them to 13, but it wasn’t enough as Entropiq closed the game 16-13 and the series 2-0.
