Spirit bomb out of PGL Masters Bucharest 2026

Spirit had no chance against NAVI with donk logging his second lowest-rated map of 2026.

Spirit had no chance against NAVI with donk logging his second lowest-rated map of 2026.

NAVI trounced Team Spirit for the last playoffs spot at PGL Masters Bucharest, which is not something you see every tournament. The Ukrainian organization has only beaten Spirit once in their last seven attempts, going back to the beginning of 2025 when they still had Justinas ‘jL’ Lekavicius.

Not only did NAVI defeat one of their nemeses, they did so dominantly, winning two of the three maps with Spirit only getting five rounds in total.

Spirit’s dependency on Daniil ‘donk’ Kryshkovets is taking its toll on their results, with the rifler going 2-7 in opening duels throughout the series and logging his second-worst map of the year.

Though Spirit seemed like a shoe-in to be an unconstested top three team in the world, Myroslav ‘zont1x’ Plakhotia’s prediction that their reign would be short-lived has come true.

donk’s second-lowest rating of the year

At ESL Pro League Season 24 and PGL Masters Bucharest, donk dropped a 1.22 and 1.21 rating in each respectively, his worst two ratings of the season so far. Those numbers would be superb for nearly any other player in the top circuit of CS2, however, for Spirit it has proven devastating.

This series became impossible for Spirit to win, as donk was nowhere to be seen against an inspired Drin ‘makazze’ Shaqiri and a stalwart Ihor ‘w0nderful’ Zhdanov, who had over 100 kills between them. Meanwhile, donk dropped an appalling 0.41 rating on the must-win decider map for Spirit.

Overall, Spirit’s tournament was not appalling, defeating FURIA and only losing to MOUZ, BetBoom and NAVI, winning a map in each of those series.

NAVI goes onto take on their old teammate, jL, for a spot in the semi-finals of PGL Masters Bucharest.
