Danish organization Sashi Esport has announced the temporary signings of Australian players Tynan “TjP” Purtell and Jordan “Hatz” Bajic. The move allows the team to shift their focus toward the Asian Valve Regional Standings ahead of the PGL Major Singapore.
Roster adjustments for the coming month
To make room for the new Australian duo, regular starters Casper “Cabbi” Jensen and Mikkel “MistR” Thomsen will step down from the active lineup for the next month. By adding TjP and Hatz alongside Anton “Anlelele” Huynh, who holds Vietnamese citizenship, Sashi now fields a core of three players eligible for the Asian region. This strategic roster adjustment allows the team to bypass the highly competitive European qualification circuit.
Improving chances for PGL Major Singapore
Sashi currently holds 1122 Valve points, which placed them 54th in the European Valve Regional Standings. By transferring to the Asian circuit, the team automatically enters the top five of the regional rankings, placing them firmly inside the qualification zone for the upcoming Major in Singapore. This strategy follows a recent trend set by organizations like BC.Game and WW, who have also acquired Asian cores to maximize their qualification odds.
Upcoming debut and player backgrounds
TjP joins the squad from THUNDER dOWNUNDER, a team he had been part of since October 2025 and represented at the IEM Cologne Major. Hatz returns to regular competitive play after his last recorded official match in July 2024 with Rooster, a roster that also featured TjP.
The newly formed Sashi lineup will debut this Wednesday in the closed qualifier for 1win Private Club Season 2, followed by an appearance next week at Stake Pulse Beat III in Stockholm.
