The famed Danish in-game leader has returned to his former organization of over three years as the coach.
HEROIC have announced the signing of Marco ‘Snappi’ Pfeiffer to be the head coach of their CS2 division. He returns to the organization after serving as their captain for over three years.
HEROIC announced their removal of Joonas ‘doto’ Forss today, leaving the spot open for Snappi.
Snappi becomes head coach after 12-year career as a player in CS:GO/CS2
After being removed from NiP’s main roster one month ago, Snappi has quickly found a spot on his old team of HEROIC, however, in a very different role. This marks the first time he will coach a team in his CS:GO/CS2 career, spanning all the way back to 2013.
While HEROIC is most known now for their team featuring Casper ‘cadiaN’ Moller, that team was a successor of Snappi’s Danish HEROIC roster, which was also Valdemar “valde” Vangså’s breakout. Snappi’s HEROIC first made a splash at IEM Katowice 2017, reaching top four before losing to Astralis.
Snappi would play for HEROIC for nearly two years, before rejoining them in 2019 for another stint. In 2023, Snappi would have his career highlight, establishing an era of consistency, winning IEM Dallas 2023 and reaching the finals of IEM Cologne and Gamers8.
