Slaven “AwaykeN” Lyubenov recently wrote himself into the record books during the Urban Riga Open Season 7 in Riga, Latvia. The 23-year-old Bulgarian rifler achieved a staggering 62 kills for INFURITY on Dust2 against Inner Circle Academy. Despite his monumental effort in a sextuple-overtime battle, INFURITY fell short, losing the best-of-one match 29-31.
AwaykeN’s 62-kill game sets a new benchmark for the most kills on a single map played on LAN in Counter-Strike 2 history. He surpassed the previous record held jointly by Alexander “Altekz” Givskov and Nils “k1to” Gruhne, who both recorded 60 kills during a match between AM and Nexus at Digital Crusade DraculaN Season 2. Other notable LAN performances include reck and slaxz, who both managed 58 kills in their respective matches against fnatic.
While AwaykeN holds the LAN record, the overall kill record across all CS2 environments belongs to Adrian “xelex” Vincze. Playing for MOUZ NXT during the CCT Season 3 European Series 16, xelex dropped 67 kills against K27 on Anubis. Similar to AwaykeN’s fate, xelex’s team ultimately lost the map with a scoreline of 29-31. Rounding out the overall top three is Dmitry “sstiNiX” Khlebnikov, who posted 63 kills against ARCRED.

Daulet “dako” Ondassynov currently holds the overall and LAN record for the most kills in regulation. The 22-year-old Kazakhstani player secured 40 kills in exactly 24 rounds for Game Point against Total Domination during the BRO Cyber League Season 1 in Almaty. This performance shattered the previous online record of 39 kills held by Alex “poiii” Nyholm Sundgren, and the LAN record of 38 kills set by Danil “donk” Kryshkovets. Despite dako’s heroics, Game Point lost the map in overtime and subsequently dropped the third-place decider series.
