The MongolZ have announced that head coach Erdenedalai “maaRaa” Bayanbat will not be standing behind the team at the upcoming BLAST Bounty Season 2 and Esports World Cup 2026. The Mongolian organization confirmed the roster update through a public statement on social media.
Remote assistance to continue
Despite his physical absence at the LAN events, maaRaa will maintain direct communication with the active roster. The organization clarified that the head coach remains in contact online and will provide ongoing tactical support while the team competes.
Previous tournament absences
This marks the second instance this year where maaRaa has been unavailable to attend events with the squad in person. Earlier in the season, the coach missed the ESL Pro League Season 23 playoffs and BLAST Rotterdam. The MongolZ concluded their tournament runs in the quarterfinals at both of those respective events.
