It looked like a three map thriller, but Cloud9 made an incredible comeback on Nuke to win the match 2-0 against Movistar Riders.
Everything was on the line in the elimination match between Cloud9 and Movistar Riders. Both teams had lost their opening round and needed a win to survive another day at the IEM Katowice Play-in.
The Iberian side choose Overpass as their map, but was unable to find any momentum during the map and lost 16-11.
Movistar Riders managed to fight their way back on Nuke. Once again it was their two starplayers, Owen ‘

‘ Fernández-Quejo Cano who did the dirty work. And for a long time it looked like, that they would force the match onto Inferno for a decider.
But with a solid comeback in the end, Cloud9 managed to win nine rounds in a row to go to overtime and subsquently win the match.
“The Colossus” will now face Team Liquid or OG tomorrow in a final match tomorrow to qualify.
