Vitality send off MOUZ to make it 8-1 over them

The team of 2025 returned to winning ways over their rival.

The team of 2025 returned to winning ways over their rival.

Team Vitality faced off against MOUZ in the semi-finals of BLAST Open London 2025. It was their ninth encounter this year, in a matchup that Vitality led 7-1.

In their last meeting at the IEM Cologne 2025 semi-final, MOUZ beat Vitality 2-0 to break the curse. However, they fell to Team Spirit in the grand final 0-3 right after.

As it is, both teams are looking for their first trophy of the season. MOUZ are looking for their first tournament win since PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, where neither Vitality or Spirit were present.

Vitality won the series 2-0, getting back to their winning ways against MOUZ. It started on MOUZ’s map pick in London.

Flat T-side

MOUZ went for the same pick as yesterday, Mirage, which they lost against M80. They only managed two terrorist rounds there, but insisted on it against Vitality.

This time, they had a stronger start, winning the pistol round. However, it quickly got stale as MOUZ lost an anti-eco, and ran into Vitality’s star AWPer on the A-site.

Mathieu ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut had a field day, finding 11 AWP kills on the terrorists. Vitality got up to 8 rounds on the first half.

On the second half, MOUZ looked to put up a wall, and it started off with a 3-round streak. In Round 16, apEX bought a scout in a force buy, managing to get an entry on Dorian ‘xertioN’ Berman. They opened up A, and got a second entry onto an aggrieved Brollan.

After that, Vitality hit A for four more rounds and picked up the map without breaking a sweat.

Back-and-forth on Inferno

On Vitality’s map pick, it was a close game in the first half. MOUZ looked to get on a streak on their defensive side, but Vitality stayed close.

The top performer was MOUZ’s AWPer, Adam ‘torzsi’ Torzsas who got a server-high 11 kills, but it ended up being an even 6-6 half.

Vitality takes over

ZywOo was a menace on the defensive side with the rifle, with a near 12% round swing, and his sidekick Shahar ‘flameZ’ Shushsan was not much further.

Despite a solid performance from Lotan ‘Spinx’ Giladi in the map and throughout the tournament, MOUZ made a mini-comeback to get to 8 rounds before Vitality pushed themselves and local hero William ‘mezii’ Merriman to the final.

Despite coming in with fatigue, according to apEX, Vitality prevailed and made their first final since the BLAST Austin Major.
