MOUZ take care of Astralis to make Bounty semis

Astralis’s pick of the #2 team in the world backfired heavily as they lost 0-2 convincingly.

Astralis’s pick of the #2 team in the world backfired heavily as they lost 0-2 convincingly.

The first quarter-final of the Bounty kicked off on Astralis’s pick of Nuke, on which they managed 5 offensive rounds to start. Largely thanks to Victor ‘Staehr’ Staehr’s 12 kills, Astralis went into their CT-side with a chance to take their map pick.

However, MOUZ capitalized on their halftime lead to take the map convincingly. Jimi ‘Jimpphat’ Salo was the standout performer on the T-side and managed to close the map with a 1v2.

A lop-sided Mirage

MOUZ started out the opening offensive half with the pistol and the conversion rounds, putting Astralis on the back foot.

Despite a bundle of rounds for Astralis, MOUZ stayed decisively on top, thanks to two crucial 2vX situations from Adam ‘torzsi’ torzsi and Lotan ‘Spinx’ Giladi.

The second half was no contest as MOUZ skipped through an underwhelming Astralis offense.

MOUZ secure Astralis’s bounty of $29,750 to make the semi-finals, boasting a $76,125 bounty of their own.
