The first round of the EU RMR Group B ended with several very one-sided victories. Both Team Spirit and Vitality ran over their opponents with 13-0, 13-2 wins to quickly move themselves up to the 1-0 bracket. Both superstars on the two teams, Danil “donk” Kryshkovets and Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut lived up to the hype and even exceeded it during the first round. We can’t wait to see the two of them in a duel in the near future!
Spirit and Vitality were joined in the 1-0 bracket by Astralis, Cloud9, and Apeks who also managed to win comfortable victories, while NIYZ and ECSTATIC had to work harder for their first win of the day with the latter team delivering the only real upset win of round 1.
In the last match of the round, Preasy with Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen took on Heroic in a Danish rumble, where eight of the ten players on the server had Danish passports. In a close affair it was Heroic who made the final push to win 13-9.
