Spinx on making playoffs: You can never count us out

It's definitely a stronger MOUZ squad that goes into the Top 8 compared to the first days of competition.

After surviving three elimination matches in a row, MOUZ have secured a spot in the playoffs at BLAST.tv Austin Major.

Throughout their comeback from being 0-2 down in Stage 3, the young squad overcame several match points and big deficits. Today against Legacy was no different.

CS analyst Roope Leppänen lays it out here:

It’s not over until it’s over

It was therefore also a relieved Lotan “Spinx” Giladi, who stopped by the Pley microphone for an interview.

– This entire Major has been really tough. Especially this match. We were so far behind on two maps, and we managed to come back. Super intense game, but I’m just glad that we came back from being down 0-2.

– We just kept believing that we could come back. I think we have proved a couple of times at this tournament and previously that you can never count us out.

“Insane shots 24/7”

During our talk in the mixed zone, the MOUZ rifler was clearly impressed by the mechanics of some Legacy players, praising the Brazilian side.

– I will give it to Legacy, they are playing super well. They are hitting some insane shots, but I still expect a MOUZ team to play better. Every game we’re coming back to it.

– Legacy are hitting insane shots, so many times. I have a duel, where I’m favoured, and then he come with a Tech-9 and double-dinks me. Usually, you look to the right of the screen: ‘Okay, it’s ZywOo or it’s donk’ and then you understand. But here it’s dumau or latto again and again and again. They are just hitting insane shots 24/7.

Who to avoid?

In the end, we asked Spinx who he would prefer to avoid in the playoffs, which he confidently responded like this:

– I don’t care about who to avoid. If we have to become the Major champions, then we will have to beat Vitality, Spirit or both. So I don’t care.
