Technical issues have thrown a wrench into the schedule at MESA Nomadic Masters Spring 2025, with the day’s first semifinal between BIG and B8 still not underway more than three hours after the official start time.

The match- taking place in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia – was scheduled to kick off at 09:45 CET, but as of writing, no rounds have been played.

Unclear communication

So, what’s actually going on?

That’s the question many fans and viewers are asking, as official communication from the tournament organizer, MESA, has been minimal.

Roughly an hour after the planned start, the broadcast showed a short message explaining that one or more player PCs were being replaced. Later, another on-screen update mentioned issues with a mouse.

“Kyuubii is currently experiencing issues due to a broken mouse,” the stream displayed.

Since then, no further clarity has been given — no formal announcement, and no updated timeline.

BIG offer an update

At 12:25 CET, BIG has posted an update on X saying that the match is not cancelled yet, but a clear starting time is still unknown.

Still waiting

The stream itself has simply shown the message: “Match is delayed. Starting soon.”

As of now, there’s still no confirmed start time for the semifinal. We have reached out to MESA and other individuals on-site for clarification, but have yet to receive a response.

MESA Nomadic Masters Spring features eight teams and a $250,000 prize pool, with playoffs running from Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

*UPDATE

A person inside the arena at Mesa Nomadic Masters Spring and with knowledge of the situation has stated the following to Pley.gg:

– Teams had different PCs, so they had to bring in new ones for a fair match. BIGs PCs caused stutters.

– Some Logitech mice did not work for a while with the PCs and caused issues

– Arena has a glass railing, which had to be covered because the players could see the reflections in it

– and then also quite a few problems with Sound and Videos in the Arena

– They offered free Beers and drinks for everyone to say sorry, and it looks like it will finally start in the next minutes
