VALORANT Agent Tejo Disabled: Triple Missile Bug Triggers Complete Removal

Riot Games has officially disabled the Initiator agent Tejo from all VALORANT game modes, including Competitive, Unrated, and Deathmatch. The removal comes following the discovery of a game-breaking exploit involving his signature ability, Guided Salvo, which allowed players to bypass the standard charge limit and launch additional projectiles.

The agent has been completely removed from the selection screen, leaving a visible gap between Sova and Veto in the roster. Players viewing their career match history may also notice Tejo’s icon has been temporarily scrubbed or replaced by a blank placeholder.

The “Triple Missile” Exploit

The primary cause for the emergency maintenance is the “Tejo 3 Guided Salvo Bug.” While the ability is intended to launch a maximum of two missiles at targeted map locations, a 100% reproducible exploit allowed for a third strike.

How the bug was performed:

  • Initial Placement: A player would select one target for a missile strike.
  • Range Reset: By stepping out of the ability’s deployment range and then returning, the selection process was effectively “canceled” in the UI.
  • Double Launch: Upon re-engaging the ability, players could place two new targets. When launched, the initial “canceled” missile would still fire along with the two new ones, resulting in a triple-salvo attack.

Riot developers confirmed that this created a significant competitive integrity issue, as the extra rocket provided an unintended and abusable advantage in clearing sites and stopping defuses.

Historical Precedent and Expected Timeline

This is not the first time a top-tier agent has been pulled from the active roster. Roughly one year ago, Reyna was disabled due to an issue where her Soul Harvest overheal was not functioning correctly. Omen has also faced similar “out of commission” periods for various game-breaking teleportation bugs.

While Riot has not provided a specific date for Tejo’s return, past instances suggest a relatively quick turnaround:

  • Reyna (2025): Took approximately 3 days to be patched and re-enabled.
  • Omen: Historically returned in significantly less time than three days.

Players are encouraged to monitor VALORANT’s official social media channels for the announcement of his re-enablement.

Is my Tejo career progress lost? No. Your stats and progress remain on your account, though the icon may appear missing or removed in the match history until the agent is patched and returned to the game.

What was wrong with Guided Salvo? A bug allowed players to launch three missiles instead of the standard two by manipulating the deployment range during the targeting phase.
