Valorant night market update: fake poster confirmed, new cutoff rule, and free event rewards

The next Valorant night market is shaping up to be very different from what players expected. Riot has officially debunked the November 20 poster circulating online, confirming that the image was only a placeholder and not the real schedule. Alongside that, new details about the rotation, cutoff rules, and free Champions Game Changers rewards have surfaced.

Here is everything you need to know.

Riot confirms the leaked night market poster was fake

In recent days, a November 20 night market leak spread across social media. According to MetaSCREAM, Riot has now clarified that the poster was only a sample graphic and not the real date. The actual schedule is still under internal review.

The only confirmed detail is that the night market is tied directly to the Champions Game Changers event timeline, meaning it will appear during that broader rollout window.

New cutoff rule for eligible night market skins

Historically, the night market followed the simple two act rule. A skin bundle had to be at least two acts old before it could appear as a discounted offer.

This next rotation breaks that tradition completely.

New cutoff condition

The upcoming night market will only include skins released before Magepunk 3.0.

This creates a unique situation.

What this means

Bundles added this rotation include Magepunk 3.0, Reaver 2.0, and more.
All melee skins that are exclusive, tiered, or ultra remain banned from night market discounts.
Any bundle released after Magepunk 3.0 is fully blocked, even if it meets the two act rule.

This drastically narrows which skins can appear and removes several fan favorites from the pool.

MetaSCREAM’s breakdown also notes that a full list of included and excluded bundles is available, depending on what players want to double check.

Free rewards during the Game Changers Champions event

Alongside the night market update, several limited time rewards are available through predictions and Twitch viewing drops.

Pick’em rewards

Players who participate in Pick’em predictions will receive:

Aura Farming title for participating
Pocket Killjoy buddy for placing in the top 50 percent
Golden Pocket Killjoy buddy for placing in the top 20 percent
Perfect Pick title for 100 percent accuracy

Twitch drops

Watching any official match between November 20 and 29 grants:

Go Off title

Watching the grand final on November 30 grants:

Kay/o Punch spray

All of these rewards are free and require no VP.

What players should expect next

The night market is confirmed, but its exact date remains pending. With Riot adjusting the eligibility rules and limited event rewards tied to Game Changers, this rotation will be one of the most unusual versions to date.
